This is the same mounting system that is
utilized by the most of the technical divers,
Police dive teams, and Homeland Security Divers,
military, and Coast Guard, and many commercial
dive operations world wide. This pony mounting
system has now become extremely popular in the
UK, Germany, and Australia! This design was
tested against all the other popular pony
mounting systems currently in the market place
and was found to be superior in all aspects of
the various testing cycles. These mounts are not
cheap, but they are the best. These were also
rated as the most convenient, fastest, and
safest. One side of the mount slips on to the
BCD primary cylinder strap. The other side is
attached to the pony cylinder with the included
SS clamps.
Testing:
One of the more important requirements during
testing was the speed the pony cylinder can be
attached and removed from the BCD / primary
divers cylinders. Speed is an important factor
for Police dive teams, cave and wreck diving
where an enclosed area, over head environments,
or where serious entanglements may exist. This
simple spring loaded quick disconnect feature
allows the pony cylinder to instantly be changed
out for a diver already suited up, or passed
through narrow openings to another diver in
need. This is critical factor for public safety
divers wearing bulky vulcanized rubber drysuits
in high ambient surface temperature & cold water
or contaminated waters. This is where diver over
heating can quickly become extremely serious, or
when a fellow diver becomes trapped under debris
or entangled and requires emergency air supply
until extraction is possible. Units tested by
Bright Water Labs divers, this was a clear
winner for both speed and security.

Safety:
The release plunger button is spring loaded and
re-lock immediately when released. The release
plunger is located so it cannot be easily
activated by accident when the pony cylinder is
attached mounted. There are no additional PIP
pins to be lost, or external PIP retention
cables dangling.
Security:
Pony cylinder security is an important factor. The mount
itself is only 1.5” in height! This creates a very low
drag profile. The light weight keeps the diver center of
gravity perfect, and lowers entanglement risks. Should a
rare event like catastrophic entanglement occur: Such as
dark water commercial cutting, burning, or grinding
diving operations, the pony cylinder can be instantly
removed, cleared, and replaced.
Application:
Commercial, Military, Police and technical diving. Fits
standard: 13, 14, 19 cu/ft cylinders. This secure
mounting system was designed for the popular 4.38” OD 13
cu/ft 3,000 PSI & AL Low pressure 14 cu/ft 2015 PSI & 19
cu/ft 3,000 PSI cylinders. Itt can been adapted for
4.88” OD aluminum 30 cu/ft cylinders by only changing
out the SS clamps.
Note: It is not recommended for, nor has it been tested
with the larger 5.25” OD 40 cu/ft cylinders.

Unidirectional 180 degree shift. The mount itself is
designed so the pony cylinder can be attached with the
pony cylinder mounted vertical (valve up) or inverted
(valve down) without modification.
