Should I Purchase?

There are many benefits to owning your own Scuba equipment. Better quality, superior
performance, less expensive, and it's much safer to use than the typical contaminated rental equipment you find at resorts. The question "should I just rent equipment" comes up often. The answer depends on how often you dive based on the number of diving days per/year.
10 DAYS OF DIVING EACH YEAR: The break even point in purchasing NEW equipment at RETAIL prices is only 10 diving days per/year. That means you would be better off buying new equipment and then just resell it at the end of the diving season. It comes out less expensive than throwing money away with high rental fees
5 DAYS OF DIVING EACH YEAR: The break even point for ownership of pre-owned equipment is only 5 days of diving per/year. WARNING: Buying used gear through individuals, ebay, or pawn shops is very risky business. Repair costs and parts availability can become a serious and very expensive problem. Contact our staff
LESS THAN 5 DAYS EACH YEAR: If you are diving less than 5 days per/year it is more cost effective to just rent equipment and take your chances. We recommend renting your equipment here in the USA. Using rental equipment outside of the USA can expose you to assorted serious health risks that you should be aware of,  just changing a regulator mouthpiece will NOT prevent possible disease transmission in deep lung tissue.
