BEFORE Placing
Your Order! |
|
|
IMPORTANT:
If you are not sure exactly what handgun you own, STOP! Handgun model
information is usually included at the time of purchase on your receipt,
handgun box, or stamped into the slide or frame. The handgun
manufacturer web site can also provide detailed information. If you are
still not sure which LaserMax guide rod laser is required, review this
web page, or call us. |
|
1. WARNING: If the factory box
seal has been broken, or contents removed, or laser installed, product
exchanges or product returns are impossible! Product liability and
*safety requirements were established to protect the gun owner and
handgun user from obtaining used, damaged, altered, defective, or
dangerous products. We are professionals, and authorized LaserMax
dealers. Your safety is important to us. We do NOT sell used or
refurbished lasers. Please carefully review the terms of sale shown
here, and our suggestions for proper selection. |
|
2. CONFIRM: It is VERY important
that you DO NOT open the box until YOU personally confirm that the
LaserMax version you ordered, and received, is the correct version for
your specific handgun. The factory ID label on the left side of the
factory sealed box indicates exactly which model and version of guide
rod laser is enclosed. If you have ordered, or received the incorrect
model or version required, contact us at:
Customer Service or call us at:
281-493-4358 for instructions. |
|
3. MISTAKES: Our goal it to
provide you with the with the correct product! It’s easy to make a
mistake when placing an order, see the typical examples below. All
LaserMax Guide Rod Laser are handgun specific. This means one model, or
handgun caliber CANNOT be used with a different model gun or a different
caliber! If the laser has been opened, used, or altered it cannot be
exchanged, or returned! This becomes a factory warranty issue and you
must contact LaserMax directly for customer service. |

Glock Example: There are 2
versions of a Glock 20 and 21 pistol. The older version does NOT have
the accessory rail molded into the frame, or the finger grips. This
older version of the Glock requires the LMS-1151P laser. The newer Glock
20 and 21 pistol version DOES have the accessory rail groves and finger
grips molded into the frame. This newer version requires the
LMS-1151PFGR. Although the price is the same for both versions, and the
installation is identical, the point of impact is not. Each version of
this handgun requires a different laser to maintain the factory set
correct point of impact. Which version do you own? |
|
SIG Example: There are 2 versions
of a SIGARMS P226 /9 mm. SIG produces handguns with the same model
numbers made from 2 different materials. One version is made from Blue
carbon steel, and the other is made from stainless steel. The color or
finish of the slide is NOT important, the material is important because
of the difference in size. The BLACK or POLISHED finished stainless
slide is NOT the same physical dimensions, therefore it is NOT
interchangeable with the carbon steel BLACK or plated finish slide. Each
version of this handgun is slightly different, and requires a different
laser to fit and function correctly. How can you tell the difference?
Hand guns made from stainless steel material will have the word
STAINLESS stamped into the slide. Older carbon steel, blue finish or
plated require the LMS-2261 laser. models Those stamped STAINLESS
require the LMS-2261S laser. |
Colt Example: Colt produces many
different handguns, and finishes. LaserMax produces 3 versions based on
finish. These will ONLY fit and function with an actual Colt 1911 models
with the 5” length barrel. It will NOT fit the smaller Colt Commander,
or compact Colt Officers model.
IMPORTANT: These internal lasers CANNOT be safely used with
imported clones or copies of this Colt 1911 handgun. Those units shown
below are EXACTLY the same products except for the finish on the
included replacement slide release / laser switch. Therefore, you can
order a different color if desired to make your Colt handgun look
unique. What handgun finish do you have?
Polished BLUE FINISH Colt uses the LMS-1911B
Polished STAINLESS Colt uses the LMS-1911S
Matt STAINLESS Colt uses the LMS-1911M |
